Purchasing and Distributing Bibles

God reached across the ocean in the Mission Colony of Raiwind Mission, Gariel Ministries supports and promotes the purchase of Bibles in the Urdu language to distribute to church members and to families living in several of the brick maker villages located in the vicinity of Lahore, Pakistan. 

Bibles are purchased at a Christian outlet store in Lahore and are provided through the Bible Society of Pakistan.  Cost is $6 per Bible.  Available are
complete Bibles with both the Old Testament and New Testament and large print Bibles for $4 each with only the New Testament.

Offering a Sunday School Program

Gariel Ministries is supporting the Sunday School program now being offered at three learning centers established in brick maker villages.  Gariel Church offers Sunday School to the children of the church. The Gariel Sunday School project started in February of 2015.  The Sunday School program has grown to
about 180 children attending weekly Sunday School classes.

Along with their weekly Sunday School Bible lesson, the children are learning to read and write.  The material purchased has included a quarterly children’s book of Bible stories, a notebook, pencil, eraser and pencil sharpener. The cost of the book and supplies packet totals about $1.30 each.

Christmas Gifts for children 

Each year since 2015, a Christmas gift has been given to the children of Gariel Church and to children in the other Sunday School learning centers.   In 2019, sweaters were given as a gift to 168 children.

Food Packages for Widows and the Very Poor

In December 2015, for the first time, Gariel Ministries of Minnesota provided funds for 19 food packages. Food packages have been provided on various occasions and since 2015, providing food packages has become part of the Christmas Food and Gift Program each year.

Free Medical Camp

In mid-March 2016, for the first time in these poor Christian villages, a free medical camp was held where over 100 people received a free medical exam and medicine.  Gariel Ministries organized and provided the funds for purchase of medicine.
